For the chicken biriyani first step is to cook the ghee rice and then comes the masala for it..
Two servings
Ghee rice
Basmati rice -one cup
Water-2 cup
Salt-half tspn
Cloves-3
Cinnamon-one inch long.
Ghee-3tspn.
- Take one cup of rice and wash it.
- Add two cups of water into it and place above the stove.
- Add half tspn of salt and two tspn of ghee
- Also add three cloves and one inch long cinnamon.
- Let it boil..once the water is fully evaporated the rice is ready..
Sometimes the rice quality varies and the quantiy of water to be added varies..
Masala
Chickenone pound or six medium Sized pieces
Curd-one tbl spn
Onions-2small
Tomato-2
Ginger garlic paste-1tspn
Green chilli-5
Bay leaf-1
Cilantro-1tspn
Mint leaves-1tspn
Biriyani masala-2 tspn
Chilli powder-half tspn
Turmeric powder-half tspn full
Coriander powder-half tspn full
Fennel seeds-half tspn
Oil 2 tbl spn
Method
- Take the chicken pieces and marinate it with some curd and dhlli powder and turmeric powder.
- Slice the onion thinly.
- Cut tomato into six pieces.
- Now pour some oil into a frying pan.fry the onions in it. and place it in a tissue paper.
- Add all the other ingredients and fry them well.
- Now add the chicken into it and allow to boil till the chicken is cooked. try maximum the water to vapour off.
Now take a big vessel and put one third of the ghee rice in it and layer up with the fried onion andmasala.Then again add the one third rice and put some fried onion and chicken masala and do the same once more and close it air tight. for ten minutes. After that serve it hot...
